The world of technology has suffered a huge loss today, with the passing of former Apple CEO Steve Jobs. Jobs led the company through the development of iconic devices such as the iPhone, iPad and iPod. It is safe to say he shaped the world of mobile technology and created the world of smartphones we live in today. Jobs had retired from Apple earlier this year due to his ill health and sadly lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on October 5th. RIP Steve Jobs.
Live reports from Apple's iPhone event have confirmed that the latest phone is a 4S. The first Apple phone to have a dual-core processor and dual-core graphics, the phone also sports an 8 megapixel camera which operates at up to 60% faster than earlier iOS devices. Other announcements include Siri, a personal assistant app operated by voice; tell it to wake you at 6am and it will, a free iOS5 download available from October 12th and Find My Friends - an app which will provide Foursquare with some serious competition.
